1. 為避免重復(fù),有時(shí)可用不定式符號(hào)to來(lái)代替整個(gè)動(dòng)詞不定式(短語(yǔ))。如:
Will you come? I’d love to.
你來(lái)嗎?我愿意來(lái)。
You can do it this way if you care to.
如果你愿意可以這樣做。
2. 在某些情況下省略不定式符號(hào) to(如在let, make, have等使役動(dòng)詞后用作賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的不定 式必須省略to,在see, hear, observe, notice, feel, watch 等表示感官的'動(dòng)詞后必須省略to等)。如 :
If you want help, let me know.

1)動(dòng)詞轉(zhuǎn)化為名詞
很多動(dòng)詞可以轉(zhuǎn)化為名詞,大多意思沒(méi)有多大的變化(如下①);有時(shí)意思有一定變化(如下②);有的`與一個(gè)動(dòng)詞和不定冠詞構(gòu)成短語(yǔ),表示一個(gè)動(dòng)作(如下③)。例如:
、貺et's go out for a walk.我們到外面去散散步吧。
②He is a man of strong build.他是一個(gè)體格健壯的漢子。
、跮et's have a swim.咱們游泳吧。
2)名詞轉(zhuǎn)化為動(dòng)詞
很多表示物件(如下①)、身體部位(如下②)、某類(lèi)人(如下③)的名詞可以用作動(dòng)詞來(lái)表示動(dòng)作,某些抽象名詞(如下④)也可作動(dòng)詞。例如:

4)副詞轉(zhuǎn)化為動(dòng)詞
有少數(shù)副詞可以轉(zhuǎn)化為動(dòng)詞。例如:

5)形容詞轉(zhuǎn)化為名詞
表示顏色的形容詞?赊D(zhuǎn)化為名詞(如下①);某些形容詞如old, young, poor, rich, wounded,injured等與the連用,表示一類(lèi)人,作主語(yǔ)時(shí),謂語(yǔ)用復(fù)數(shù)(如下②)。例如:
You should be dressed in black at the funeral.你在葬禮中該穿黑色衣服。

A)、名詞的數(shù)
我們知道名詞可以分為可數(shù)名詞和不可數(shù)名詞,而不可數(shù)名詞它沒(méi)有復(fù)數(shù)形式,但可數(shù)名詞卻有單數(shù)和復(fù)數(shù)之分,復(fù)數(shù)的構(gòu)成如下:
一)在后面加s。如:fathers, books, Americans, Germans,apples, bananas
二)x,sh, ch, s, tch后加es。如:boxes,glasses, dresses, watches, wishes, faxes
三)1)以輔音字母加y結(jié)尾的變y為i再加es如:baby-babies, family-families,duty-duties,comedy-comedies, documentary-documentaries, story-stories
2)以元音字母加y結(jié)尾的直接加s。如:day-days,boy-boys, toy-toys, key-keys, ways
四)以o結(jié)尾加s(外來(lái)詞)。如:radios, photos,但如是輔音加o的加es:如: tomatoes西紅柿, potatoes馬鈴薯
五)以f或fe結(jié)尾的變f為v再加es(s)。如:knife-knives, wife-wives,half-halves,shelf-shelves, leaf-leaves, yourself-yourselves
六)單復(fù)數(shù)相同(不變的)有:fish, sheep, deer鹿子, Chinese, Japanese
七)一般只有復(fù)數(shù),沒(méi)有單數(shù)的有:people, pants, shorts, shoes, glasses, gloves, clothes,socks
八)單詞形式不變,既可以是單數(shù)也可以是復(fù)數(shù)的`有:police警察局,警察, class班,同學(xué), family家,家庭成員

規(guī)則動(dòng)詞的過(guò)去式詞尾變化有幾種:
1.一般情況下加ed,如watched, planted, watered, pulled, climbed, picked。
2.以不發(fā)音字母e結(jié)尾的.加d,如liked, moved, tasted。
3.以輔音字母加y結(jié)尾的變y為i再加ed,如study——studied。
4.以1個(gè)元音字母加1個(gè)輔音字母結(jié)尾的重讀閉音節(jié),雙寫(xiě)最后一個(gè)輔音字母再加ed,如stop——stopped。
詞尾讀音有3種:
a.在濁輔音和元音后讀[d],如lived, watered, listened, played。
b.在清輔音后讀[t],如liked, helped, watched。
c.在[t],[d]音后讀[Id],如planted, wanted, handed(上交)。
