After entering college, we found, to our surprise, that differences between high school life and college life are great. In high school, we always depended on our parents and teachers to solve all kinds of difficult problems. At college, however, we have to rely exclusively on ourselves. What's more, we have to learn how to get along with our classmates and roommates.
Four years at college is an important yet very short period of time in our life. So it is always expected that we adapt to this life as quickly as possible. But it is a pity that not everyone can do so immediately. Here are some suggestions.
First, get familiar with the main buildings on the campus. Spend one or two hours by yourself or with your classmates to go around the campus so that you can know the location of such important places as the library, the dining room, the post office, the clinic and classrooms. Next, try to be independent. Learn to do such things as making sound decisions on how to spend your time, how to spend your money etc, and washing clothes on your own. Furthermore, form good study habits. Talk with your classmates and learn from their good habits. Finally, try to take part in all kinds of activities to get out of your solitude and get on well with your classmates.
My college life
The college life is wonderful. All life in school are fresh. New teachers, new classmates and fresh friends are around me. I’ve felt their friendship, wide knowledge and opening mind. The grand library, school buildings and wide playground are very attracting to me. I am very eager to learn much knowledge quickly. In high school, I was ever called as a runner before time. Now,I know I am behind time so much in fact. I hope to catch up with the time by my hard studying. Every day, you can see me get up early, doing exercise hard and go to school the first one. At night, I am the one who leaves away the library. The most interesting thing is that I can’t speak the PUTONGHUA well and made many funny events at the beginning， as I am from South. When I entered the classroom at first time, I was headache as I couldn’t understand what the professor was speaking. I met much difficulties at math, physics and other courses, even though I used to be good at these sciences. Therefore, I learn these courses myself after class. After three months, the exmination indicated that I overcame all the difficlties. I also improved my listening and spoken
ability of Chinese quickly. Communication is very important to my college life. I study English hard as well. It makes me have many chances to communicate with foreigners. My Dream College
There are so many world-wide-known universities in America. The world rankings of them are very high. My dream school is one of them, it’s Harvard. Harvard has continuously been the best university around the world for ten years.
When I was a child, I had heard of Harvard. I was told that only the best scholars of the world can study in it. Ever since then, a seed had grown deeply in my heart. I wanted to go to Harvard. When I slowly grow up, the seed also grow taller and taller, stronger and stronger. Harvard is so captivating to me that I want to study in there very much.
It has the most advanced facilities and technology, the best teachers and the smartest students in the world. A great number of presidents, leaders, successful businessmen and famous professors come out of there. Students can learn a lot in there. Not only the knowledge of textbooks, but also some methods of getting along with other people. Their ability of social skills, leadership skills and the skills of solving problems will improve a lot.
Harvard is not a dream for me, it’s my aim. I know that only a very few Chinese students can study in that Campus. And I hope that I could be one of them. The road to Harvard is very tough, I know that I will make a lot of efforts to achieve it. But no matter what difficulties I will meet , no matter what challenges I will face, I am sure I can overcome it by trying my best. That’s for my dream.
There is a extremely long way between me and Harvard. I need to do a lot to realize my dream.
Specifically, there are some things that I should do. Firstly, I should recite at least fifty words a day. Secondly, I should do some listening every night. I am feeling the time flies. Recalling about the past one year, so many thoughts are flooding in my mind. At this time, I just can’t tell my real idea. The memory is just like so fresh, and all the things happened yesterday! When first day I came to University, I really feel that the school is very good, but at the first sight of the dormitory, something disappointing come up to me! The condition of the dormitory is really very poor with only one room, no lavatory! I saw something sad in my father’s eyes, maybe that time he thought of the poor condition! So with a big smile on my face, I told my father” it doesn’t matter, Dad. In this kind of condition, I will get myself better!” My father felt better. But when he was coming back, seeing his back, I just wanted to cry! I felt in this city I was just isolated, from that time, I said to myself, “
you have no others who can help you here, just depend on yourself” And then I came to my dormitory 303. I considered that I would spend four years here (in fact I moved to another one year later) and my dorm mates are all there. Most of them came from Sichuan and they were chatting with a happy voice, but I can’t understand them! Again, I felt myself isolated! I hated that kind of feeling, and then I said to hello to them! To my surprise they are very friendly to me and warm-hearted! I no longer felt afraid. And I got along well with them. But at the first night here, I burst out to tears for that I was missing my family. I don’t know why. Everyday when I was at home, I was just eager to go to school, to experience the wonderful college life but when coming here, I am just eager to go back! It’s quite strange though, you must know this kind of feeling! Just spending about 2 days here, we were on our way to military train. To us, it’s a fresh train and a kind of experience to know the life between the claassmates. But to me, I was nervous but excited. This was my first and precious train life because before going to school I have been staying with my family. So, you know, it’s just this kind of feeling I can’t convey it clearly! The train life is impressive on everybody; we had a lot of activities, for example giving a speech on a stage or singing together or playing basketball. At that time, I felt myself so little among them. All of them have a special talent but not me. I admired them but meanwhile jealousy. Why don’t I have this kind of talent? Am I stupid? I always said to myself. So that time I was also very ambitious, just eager to catch up with them. Except the classmates, the trainer in our team also left a deep impression on me! He was not very handsome and very kind. Just because of his kindness results in my laughter when training.

Four years ago in the summer, the sound of cicadas outside, I thought at home how college life would be a scene. Four years of college life has made me grow up and mature, so that I have a lot of things to have a deeper understanding.
In the University, on no teacher, education and anti-corrosion tireless; not every day do not finish the exercises and test papers; not every day to score, ranking and anxious, worried … … in the month to experience college life, there is such a thing that impresses me in the first college class, there are two girls in a few minutes late, according to previous habits report into the classroom. 在大學(xué)，不會(huì)再有老師苦口婆心的教誨和防腐不知疲倦的講解;不會(huì)有每天做不完的習(xí)題和試卷;也不會(huì)天天為了分?jǐn)?shù)、名次而焦急、苦惱……在體驗(yàn)大學(xué)生活的這一個(gè)月中，有這樣一件事讓我印象比較深刻：在大學(xué)的第一堂課上，有兩個(gè)女生遲到了幾分鐘，按照以前的習(xí)慣打報(bào)告進(jìn)教室。但后來老師說：“在大學(xué)中，如果你上課遲到或者有事想要早退的話，你不用打報(bào)告，只需悄悄地從后門出入，不要影響大家就好……”在這以后，我也遇到過其他在高中甚至想都不敢想的事情。比如可以隨時(shí)出入宿舍和校門，因需要完成某事要逃課等。
所以，我出：大學(xué)，是一個(gè)完全靠自覺的過程。如果高中的我們還是一只雛鳥，那么大學(xué)的我們可以說已經(jīng)長(zhǎng)大，遠(yuǎn)離了父母的庇護(hù)，遠(yuǎn)離了老師的督促，剩下的'只有自己做自己的主人。
所以，現(xiàn)在的我們要自己管好自己，自己規(guī)劃自己美好的大學(xué)生活，并自己保證今后能夠笑著談起自己的大學(xué)生活。
