Speed geeking is a participation1 process used to quickly view a number of presentations within a fixed2 period of time. Speed geeking gets its name from speed dating, since they both employ similar techniques.  “極速演講”指的是在一定的時(shí)間內(nèi)，快速進(jìn)行數(shù)個(gè)演講的參與過程。這個(gè)說法來自于“閃電約會”，兩者都采用了相似的技巧。   A large room is selected as the speed geeking venue3. All the presenters5 are arranged in a large circle along the edge of the room. The remaining members of the audience stand at the center of the room. Ideally there are about 6-7 audience members for each presenter4. One person acts as the facilitator.  首先要為“極速演講”選擇一間較大的屋子。所有的演講者沿著屋內(nèi)的邊緣圍成一個(gè)大圈。其余的觀眾站在屋子的中間。理想情況下每名演講者對應(yīng)大約6到7名觀眾。其中一人作為引導(dǎo)者。   The facilitator rings a bell to start proceedings6. Once proceedings start, the audience splits up into groups and each group goes to one of the presenters. Presenters have a short duration, usually 5 minutes, to give their presentation and answer questions. At the end of the five minutes, the facilitator rings a bell. At this point, each group moves over to the presenter to their right and the timer starts once more. The session ends when every group has attended all the presentations.  引導(dǎo)者發(fā)出信號，開始整個(gè)活動�；顒娱_始后，觀眾分成若干小組，每個(gè)小組去聽一個(gè)人的演講。演講者只有很短的時(shí)間進(jìn)行演講并回答問題，通常為5分鐘。快到時(shí)間時(shí)，引導(dǎo)者再次發(fā)出信號。這時(shí)，每組觀眾轉(zhuǎn)向其右側(cè)的另一位演講者，計(jì)時(shí)再次開始。當(dāng)每個(gè)小組都聽取了所有的演講后，活動結(jié)束。
