教學目標
1.要求學生掌握本課所授的單詞和詞組:come over ,in the open air, Are you free tomorrow ?get together ,on Mid-autumn day ,good evening等。
2.要求學生掌握形容詞比較級的基本形式和用法并能用形容詞的比較級根據具體情境口頭和筆頭造簡單的句子.
3.要求學生能用自己組織的語言,向其他學生介紹中秋節(jié)的有關習俗并能掌握有關邀請方面的交際用語。Would you like… I would like … Are you free?
4.要求學生能自己讀懂課文并判斷出生詞大意,并能回答問題。
5.要求學生能根據線索詞對課文進行復述

教學建議
教材分析
本單元談論的是“Autumn festivals”的有關情況,重點是形容詞的比較級和最高級。主要是圍繞介紹中秋節(jié)的有關習俗展開教學,貫穿著形容詞的比較級和最高級的用法,并學習了介紹節(jié)日和邀請方面的交際用語。通過練習,學習了如何將形容詞變成比較級和最高級形式以及變成比較級后的發(fā)音,兩個形容詞比較級和最高級的簡單句型。本單元還講述了幾個重點詞組的使用。

關于形容詞的比較等級的教學
1.形容詞的比較級和最高級形式
教師準備幾組實物,如籃球一個,足球一個,乒乓球一個,還要不同尺寸三把尺子或三張某人不同年齡的相片等物。
比較每組實物,教學一些形容詞的比較級和最高級,如:big-bigger-biggest, old-older-oldest, young-younger-youngest, long-longer-longest等。
2.實物教學, 教師利用上面的實物,運用形容詞比較等級的句型對物品進行描述。(1)主語 +be +形容 詞的比較級+than+其它;(2)主語 +be +the +形容 詞的最高級+of, in +范圍,例如:
(1)I have three rulers .One is white the other is yellow. The third one is green .The white one is longer than the yellow one. The green one is the longest of all. Which one do you like best ?
(2)I like basketball; football and ping-pong .The football is bigger than the ping-pong .the basketball is bigger than the football, so the basketball is the biggest of the three.
(3)There are three pictures of my brother at different ages .look at the first one ,he is five years .he is young .Now ,look at the second one ,he is older than the first one, he is ten . This is third picture. He is the oldest of three, because he is twenty years old。描述后,要求學生把內容寫下來。
教師也可以就學生常用的學習用品進行形容詞比較等級的用法教學。教師問which book is big? Which book is bigger? Which one would you like? 然后教師再出示第三個實物說xiaoming’s is big .My book is bigger than xiaoming’s. This book is bigger than mine .so this book is the biggest.
3.編寫一個有關購物的小對話。教師把實物放到講臺上讓學生向其他學生出售。要求學生在比較商品時用到形容詞的比較級和最高級形式。
4.教師出示一些物體圖片組或讓學生就自己擁有的實物,用形容詞的比較等級進行口頭和筆頭練習。如:

通過教學讓學生認識到人與人之間的感情和親情的重要,從而珍惜友情。
Would you like…?
“Would you like…?”用于表示“建議”或“請求”的場合,是一個常用的禮貌用語,使用應注意以下六點:
一、“Would you like…?”后接名詞、代詞或不定式短語。例如:
1. Would you and Lily like to come over to my home for Mid-Autumn Day?
你和莉麗愿意到我家度中秋節(jié)嗎?
2. Would you like a mooncake? 你想吃月餅嗎?
二、“Would you like…?”雖是疑問結構,但表示的是“建議”或者“請求”為此表示“一些”這個意義時常用some,而不用any。例如:
1. Would you like some apples? 你想吃蘋果嗎?
2. Would you like to buy some cakes? 你想買幾塊蛋糕嗎?
三、“Would you like…?”表示“建議別人吃(喝)點東西”時,常用have 代替eat或drink. 例如:
1. Would you like to have a cup of tea? 你想喝杯茶嗎?
2. Would you like to have some bread? 你想吃一些面包嗎?
四、“Would you like…?”可用“Will you please?”代替。如要表示更委婉、更禮貌的語氣時,也可用“Would you please…?”代替。但注意“Would (Would )you please…?”后接動詞原形。例如:
Would you like to go out for a walk with me? =Will (Would ) you please go out for a walk me? (請)你和我一起出去散步好嗎?
五、“Would you like…?”與like含義不同。like表示“喜歡”,后接不定式短語或名詞、動詞;而would like是固定搭配,表示“希望、愿意”,后面跟動詞時只能跟不定式短語。試比較:
1. Would you like to swim today? 你今天想去游泳嗎?
2. Do you like to swim today? 你今天喜歡游泳嗎?
六、“Would you like…?”的肯定答語多用 “Yes, I’d love to.” 或 “Yes, I’d like to.” 這里的to不可省略,它代替動詞不定式;否定答語常用 “Sorry, I’m afraid…”. 例如:
1. —Would you like to go fishing with us? 你愿意和我們一起去釣魚嗎?
—Yes, I’d love to. 行,我樂意。
2. —Would you like to come with me? 請你與我一道來好嗎?
— Sorry, I’m afraid I can’t (wouldn’t). 對不起,恐怕不行。
關于with 短語的用法分析
They are small round cakes with meat, eggs, nuts or something sweet inside. 它們是一些有小又圓的蛋糕。里面有肉,雞蛋,堅果或一些甜的東西。
with 在句中表示"帶有,含有",后面跟復合賓語說明附帶情況。With …inside 是對cake的補充說明,作定語。 with+ n.或pron.結構常常在句中做定語,放在被修飾的詞后。例如:
Tom with a book in his hand was very worried. His bag was lost. Look! There is a bag with some paper in side,it may be Tom’s. 湯姆手里拿一本書,看上去很著急。他的書丟了?,這有個書包里邊有一些紙可能是湯姆的書包。
關于句子The moon looks rounder and brighter的分析
The moon looks rounder and brighter.月亮看上去亮越來越圓。
look +adj.看起來……,如:
You look very tired today. What happened?
形容詞比較級+形容詞比較級意為越來越……,例如:
Xiao Ming becomes taller and taller. His sweater becomes smaller and smaller.
關于taste用作系表結構的用法分析
They taste a little like our pies.它們嘗起來有點象我們的pie的味道。
taste在句中做連系動詞。譯做“嘗起來象”!爸髡Z+連系動詞+形容詞或名詞”構成主系表結構。taste也做實意動詞譯做嘗。這樣的詞有很多如 look, become,feel,sound 等。a little 在句中是副詞,修飾taste. 例如:
You look like your father. 你看起來像你的父親。
the apple tastes delicious.蘋果嘗起來很香
I feel lonely last night 昨夜我覺得很寂寞。
“taste like” 中的like看作一個介詞。 “taste like”意為“嘗起來像……”,又如:
The wine tastes like water.這種酒喝起來像水一樣。
What does it taste like?它味道如何?
辨析on/in
on, in 兩者在表達時間時都是"在……"的意思。但是用法不同。On 表示在具體的某一天時間如在星期幾,在節(jié)日。另外在具體的某天的上下午也用 on
例如on Sunday ,I often play football with my friends. We don’t have to go to school on Labor Day. On yesterdays afternoon I have nothing to do
而in 表示的時間范圍比較大.另外它后面可以加一個時間段,表示這段時間之內比如:In 1999,I begin to study English .I will become a teacher in September this year.

教師把事先準備好的一些有關中秋節(jié)的圖片或錄像資料展示給學生,然后提問:

學生答道;

3.It may be Zhong qiu jie。The moon is big and bright.
教師說 :Ok, today we are going to learn something about Zhongqiujie. How do we say Zhongqiujie in English?

1.教師說 Now, listen to the tape and see what are Hun Mei and Lucy going to do on the mid-autumn day,放錄音,學生聽一遍錄音材料 然后回答:They are going to have mid-autumn day.
2學生跟錄音磁帶讀兩遍對話。并找出不認識的單詞和短語
3.教師解釋文中的短語和單詞be free, call sb. Sth, come over,autumn, festival, free, mid-autumn. Moon cake, nut, and sweet, inside, store.
(1)be free;意為有空。Free 是形容詞,在句中做表語Be 。動詞可隨著不同人稱和時態(tài)變化。例如:Are you free this afternoon? No ,I am very busy .I have a lot of homework to do .另外free還有免費的意思。
(2)come over:意為過來,順路來訪。例如:My sister lived far from me. Today, she is free. She comes over to my house.
(3)would like: 意為愿意,喜歡,想要。后面可以跟名詞也可以跟動詞不定式。例如;I would like that bananas. What about you? No, I would like to drink some water.
(4)on mid–autumn day :注意介詞的用法。在節(jié)日介詞用on, 例如:people get together to have a party on mid-autumn day ,especially the children they are very happy about it .
(5)at this time of year:意為在一年的這個時候。
例如:
A: My father always takes me to have a holiday at this time of year.
B: My mothers always buy a lot of gifts for me at this time of year.

1.Revise形容詞比較級的用法

2)實物練習:教師出示實物讓學生編一個關于購物的小對話。要求學生購物時使用形容詞比較級對商品進行比較。用句型:主語+be+形容詞的比較級+than +其它
2.教師關于第九課對話的提問。
A:What is mid-autumn day?
B: What is moon cake like?
學生回答On Mid-autumn Day we usually eat a big dinner and moon cakes.
They are small round cakes with meat, eggs, nuts or something sweet inside。

1.利用已學過的對話引出有關中秋節(jié)的話題 today we are going to read an e-mail to see how did Lucy introduce mid-autumn day to her friend.
2.讓學生默讀一遍課文(五分鐘左右),并用鉛筆劃出課文中的生詞,鼓勵學生根據上下文來判斷這些詞的意思。然后回答下列幾個問題:

1.Write
Students write out several groups of sentences to compare things, then read them to their partners and correct each other’s mistakes. (Call a student to write on the blackboard so that teacher can correct their common mistakes.)
2.Talk about the pictures
Students use comparatives and superlatives to talk about the pictures in small groups, call one group to say it to the class. Then they may say anything about the pictures, even to make stories. Teacher write out some words of the things in the Picture “calendar, feast, candle, firework, wine, plant,” etc.
教師可選擇在課后讓學生自己來完成此部分內容。

中秋節(jié)的晚上,組織學生一起慶賀,如果有外國學生的話,讓他們談談感恩節(jié)的慶祝活動。

B:I can have a lot of delicious food. Such as mooncake, meat, fish, fruit.

討論時可有一人做筆記,簡單記錄討論內容。教師可以巡視各小組并參與討論 。討論后學生把討論記錄交給教師。
學生自己出一期有關西方節(jié)日風俗的板報。
要求:
(1)學生利用業(yè)余時間自己從報刊雜志書籍或網上搜集材料。
(2)篇幅不宜過長,中英文均可,圖文并茂。
(3)要求學生以小組為單位,每組4人或5人皆可。
(4)內容可以介紹節(jié)日習俗也可以講述節(jié)日起源的故事。教師適當給予指導。
(5)評選最優(yōu)秀的板報,并給予獎勵。
組織文化交流活動
1)組織學生觀看有關感恩節(jié)的影片,然后讓學生根據影片中的內容,自己寫一篇介紹感恩節(jié)的知識的小短文,或是組織學生一起討論影片中有關感恩節(jié)的文化,如感恩節(jié)的由來,習俗,不同的慶賀活動,意義等知識。老師再引導學生對比中國的節(jié)日,體會中西文化的異同,開闊學生的眼界。
2)也可以集體組織學生和在華美國人一起過感恩節(jié)或邀請外國人一起過中秋節(jié)。相互談論自己國家的節(jié)日的歷史傳說,民間風俗,人們的慶祝活動等,促進彼此的了解,促進中西方文化的交流。讓外國朋友更多地了解中國,同時也讓中國的學生更多地了解世界。
