首先，我需要提醒大家的是：電面后一定要記得給教授給感謝信，這絕對是血的教訓(xùn)!!!

先寫我的經(jīng)歷

時間：20：36-21：17

地點：家里

這是我自3月份申請博士以來的第一次面試，也是第一次使用Skype進行面試。沒有設(shè)備，還是周末現(xiàn)去電子城買的攝像頭與麥克風(fēng)。申請的學(xué)校是帕斯卡大學(xué)(Universite Blaise pascal)法國高等力學(xué)研究所 IFMA下面一個實驗室phD職位，廣告就掛在ABG上面。我是先給教授寫陶瓷信，然后他告訴我他們正在招人的。

面試前的準(zhǔn)備：大約研究了一下對方教授的簡歷與論文，五一的時候都玩去了，所以也就是走馬觀花看了一眼;然后仔細研究自己的CV+pS+GpA，反復(fù)用英語練習(xí)了一下。

預(yù)約的時間是晚上8點半(法國時間14：30)，8點36分，對方通過Skype撥過來了。我接聽后，就立刻看到了對方：面試考官一共3個教授，都是這個research proposal的指導(dǎo)老師。其中一個貌似很牛，是個國際學(xué)術(shù)會議的大會主席，滿頭銀發(fā)，臉上寫滿了滄桑。另外兩個，一個年四十左右的中年男子，一個年三十五左右的女士，都是副教授。這個中年男子就是一直與我聯(lián)系的那個教授，我是最早給他發(fā)Email的，他很快給我了回復(fù)，告訴我他們這個研究項目正在招人。

我看到了他們，但這時他們卻說看不到我，而只能看到一個廣告，暈。我也發(fā)現(xiàn)了這個問題，似乎是因為昨天我安裝了的軟件造成的。不過當(dāng)時他們沒怎么理睬這個問題，而是直接開始面試了。

他們先讓我進行了一個自我介紹，我就是報了一下我的名字，現(xiàn)在在做什么工作，當(dāng)我告訴他們please call me Robi的時候，他們就笑了。教授說你介紹了自己，我們也自我介紹一下，然后他們就逐一報了下姓名。法國人的口音很重，這次我算領(lǐng)教了，說了幾次pardon我也記不清了。

教授問我的問題按時間順序大概有以下幾個方面：

1. Whats your everyday work in your company?

我是在一家研究所工作，就告訴他們我當(dāng)前在做哪方面的項目，F(xiàn)E Analysis, Experiments on......

2. Why do you apply for our research proposal?

-------Cause your proposal is interesting and matchs with my former education and research experience.

3. Why do you want to go abroad for a phd research, why not do it in China, e.g. your former lab?

-------Seldom institutes in China focus on research in this field, and I want to do a further research. Since your group is one of the best in this research field, Id like to do it under your supervision. 至于former lab那個問題，就直接忽略了。

4. Did you read our research proposal?

----- Of course, I read it.

Its written in French, can you understand?

------No, I read it in English via google translate

Good, then can you talk about this research proposal, how do you think about it, please in detail?

------Its an interesting proposal, 然后就無語了，一度冷場，最后竟說出 Now I have little knowledge about\\\后來企圖自己圓場，緊張的自己都不知道自己說了些什么。

教授顯然有點失望，說OK, next topic.

然后他拿出了我的簡歷，開始發(fā)問：

5. I think Chinas educational system is different from Frances, so can you explain to me the degree of M.S.s and B.S.s in China, whats their equivalent diplomas in France?

有點無語，其實我對法國的教育體制也是不了解的。我就告訴他在中國本科需要4年，研究生需要3年。

6. You provided your academic scores at Masters, can you explain.....聽力有限，后面很多沒聽懂，還讓人家重復(fù)了一遍，大概意思是說中法大學(xué)的評分體制不同，你能不能對credits and scores做出個說明。(法國滿分是20分)

--------Full mark of all courses in China is 100. 我只能說這些了

OK, get it. I want to know your rank in your department.

--------About top 10% in my department.

Can you provide me a certification about this fact?

--------Of course, I will sent it to you in the next days.

7. You said you are awarded by the Scholarship of ..., can you give a description about the scholarship?

------- The scholarship is to memorize a famous scientist of China, only awarding to very competitive students......

8. You have an international collaborater in Italy, is that ture?

-------Yeah, he is an Italian professor in the university of ......

How did you know him and how you two work together?

-------Its a story about 3 years before.......Currently, the co-op is carried out though internet

Where did you carry out your experiments presented in your collaborative papers?

--------Mostly in my former lab at the university of...., and he did many theoretical works.

9. Did you have any experience abroad for a period, study or working?

--------None.

Did you participate in any international conference?

-------- Yeah, once. The conference was held in ...where I got to know some famous sholars in this research field and had a face-to-face communication with them.

10. Are you skilled in Matlab as you mentioned in your CV?

------- Yes, Ive been used its simulink module for modal analysis.

11. Did you apply for any other phd positions?

------- I applied for several other phd positions, but this is my first interview, and your research proposal will be my preferred option.

后面開始轉(zhuǎn)入與學(xué)術(shù)無關(guān)的話題

12. How do you feel about our country France?

------- Its all about romantic.....然后他們都笑了，很會心地笑。

Do you like France?

------- I like France very much. 然后就扯我看過98年世界杯，喜歡巨星Zidane等，他們又開始笑.....

13. What do you know about our city Clermont-Farrand?

-------Only a little. The city locates in the central France and has a population of about 300,000, 這時發(fā)暈了，人口剛開始說成了3萬人，結(jié)果看對方默默無語，才發(fā)現(xiàn)自己說錯了，改成30萬后，對方才點了點頭。

Do you know any company in Clermont-Farrand?

-------Michelin

這時發(fā)現(xiàn)他們興奮起來了，回想當(dāng)時說Only a little時，他們的表情是比較失望的，其實我早就知道克萊蒙費朗在法國是個重要的工業(yè)城市，哎.....

14. Do you know theres lots of Chinese students in the university of Clermont-Farrand?

-------Yeah, I know it.

Really? How do you know that?

------- From the internet, BBS

一個搞笑的鏡頭出現(xiàn)了，他讓那個副教授去找一個中國人過來，說有什么生活問題都可以向這里的中國人咨詢。然后很快，一個中國人就出現(xiàn)在了我的鏡頭前，我們開始用漢語交流。他告訴我他在這個實驗室里做博士后，然后說你應(yīng)該沒問題，好好表現(xiàn)。然后他告訴我他那里看不到我的影像，這幾個老外想看到我，于是我們就約好先掛斷，5分鐘后再進行通話。關(guān)掉Skype后，我把那個廣告軟件卸載了，又重啟了系統(tǒng)，這樣當(dāng)我再次開啟Skype與他們通話時，他們終于能看到我了，然后他們那邊就開始歡呼了，暈!

然后教授說看你還有什么問題要問你的同胞，我說暫時沒有，有的話以后發(fā)郵件詢問吧。就這樣，那個博士后與老外們用英語寒暄了幾句就離開了。教授問我還有什么問題沒有，我說：

-----When will you decide this research proposal?

他說了一大堆申請流程，最后告訴我 probably in June or July.

教授問我還有沒有什么問題要問，我說暫時沒了，后面有的話再給您發(fā)郵件吧。

他說 OK, thats fine. 然后稍作停頓后說：Don forget to send me the certification of your RANK. Its very important for your application.

面試即將結(jié)束，教授問我：現(xiàn)在在你那里是什么時間了?

我說：Nine twenty，然后教授說你也該go to bed了吧，我說 I will go to bed one hour later. 他們和善地笑笑。

最后相互告別， Thank you all for your time! Bye bye

面試結(jié)束，馬上給教授們一一去了封感謝信!!!信的內(nèi)容大致如下，僅供參考。

I enjoyed this skype interview, my first video interview facing foreign professors. I m sorry that its a little hard for me to fully understand your English with French accent, and sorry for the problem of my camera setting. Here I greatly appreciate your kindly talking and well-meaning smiles throughout the interview. Id like to improve my speaking English and learn French language in the future.
