考研英語長難句突破：同位語從句
在句子中起名詞作用的句子叫名詞性從句。名詞性從句的功能相當(dāng)于名詞詞組，它在復(fù)合句中能擔(dān)任主語、賓語、表語、同位語等，因此根據(jù)它在句中不同的語法功能，名詞性從句又可分為主語從句、賓語從句、表語從句和同位語從句。今天我們就來重點(diǎn)講一下其中的同位語從句。
在復(fù)合句中用作同位語的從句叫同位語從句。同位語從句是名詞性從句中的主要從句之一，從句作同位語表示與之同位的名詞(短語)的實(shí)際內(nèi)容，它的作用相當(dāng)于名詞，對(duì)前面的名詞(短語)加以補(bǔ)充說明或進(jìn)一步解釋，相當(dāng)于一個(gè)表語從句，它們之間的關(guān)系是同位關(guān)系，即主表關(guān)系。
【例1】I have a dream that one day, all roads will be made plain.我有一個(gè)夢(mèng)想，有一天，所有道路將變平坦。
【例2】Museums play a role of education for the simple reason that they provide people with a good opportunity to have a deeper understanding of their own country’s tradition and cultures.博物館在教育中發(fā)揮作用，原因很簡單，它們?yōu)槿藗兲峁┮粋�(gè)很好的機(jī)會(huì)，可以更深層次地了解自己國家的傳統(tǒng)和文化。
利用同位語的方法對(duì)簡單句進(jìn)行擴(kuò)充，迅速“化腐朽為神奇”，提升句子難度，對(duì)作文加分很有幫助。例如：李先生是個(gè)好老師。
Mr. Li is a good teacher.
Mr. Li, a man, is a good teacher.
Mr. Li, a real man, is a good teacher.
Mr. Li, the realest man all around the world in history, is a good teacher.
Mr. Li, one of the realest men all around the world in the history, is a good teacher.
Mr. Li, one of the realest men all around the world in the history that I have ever seen in my life, is a good teacher.
同位語從句的結(jié)構(gòu)是：一個(gè)抽象名詞+引導(dǎo)詞+一個(gè)完整的句子
同位語從句一般跟在某些名詞后面，用以說明該名詞表示的具體內(nèi)容。
可以跟同位語從句的抽象名詞通常有news, idea, fact, promise, question, doubt, thought, hope, message, suggestion, words(消息), possibility等。
【例句】I’ve come from Mr. Wang with a message that he won’t be able to see you this afternoon.我從王老師那兒得知他今天下午不能見你。
英語中引導(dǎo)同位語從句的詞通常有連詞that, whether,連接副詞how, when, where等。
【例句】I have no idea when he will be back.我不知道他什么時(shí)候回來。
注意：有時(shí)同位語從句可以不緊跟在說明的名詞后面，而被別的詞隔開。
