　　這兩個詞的詞意一樣，maybe常用于非正式談話，而perhaps則多用在正式文體中。如： Maybe/Perhaps the weather will get better. 而?Julius Caesar? is perhaps the greatest of Shakespeares early plays.?

　　［誤］ I want to have my bike mended.?

　�。壅�］ I want to have my bike repaired.?

　�。畚觯� mend意為縫補，如： My mother mended my coat. 而repair是修理。?

　　mind ?

　　［誤］ Could you mind to close the door??

　�。壅�］ Could you mind closing the door??

　�。壅`］ Try to make up your mind studying hard.?

　�。壅�］ Try to make up your mind to study hard.?

　　［析］ mind用作動詞時，其后加動名詞；而用作名詞意為下定決心時，其后要加不定式。 ?要注意Do you mind if I smoke?的答語： 如果你不介意，應回答No, go ahead.如果你不想讓對方吸煙，則應講Yes, please dont.?

　　miss ?

　�。壅`］ I found my bag missed.?

　　［正］ I found my bag missing.?

　�。畚觯� missing為形容詞，其意為不見了、丟了。在句中用作賓語補足語時不要誤用missed，它作動詞時多為及物動詞，要接名詞或動名詞，而不接不定式。如： I missed the first train, I dont want to miss seeing the famous football player.?在作補足語講某物不見了時有missing, gone, lost等，如： I found my bag missing (gone, lost).?
